Folio 1a: Signature of David Price. F10a. Price's signature in Persian, beside numerous poor impressions of his Persian seal, with illegible date. First flyleaf, recto: a) Note, in French, seemingly recording presentation to Price, dated 18 Sept. 1793. b) Persian verses, evidently written by Price. Second flyleaf, a verse in Persian and a note in English, evidently written by Price. Back flyleaf, verso: Note, evidently by Price, concerning Firishtah's assertation that Asadi contributed to the Shahnamah. Ruled margins. Headings in red. Illuminated panels above opening of sections of the text, 25 late Mughal miniatures. Preface composed for Mirza Baisunqur.

Brown leather Indian binding with stamped and painted decoration. The central stamp used on both covers bears the first line of Jami's Yusuf u Zulaikha.
