F1a: Signature of David Price. The manuscript was written at the command of Khwajah Nizam al-Din Ahmad. Ruled margins. Headings in red. Gilt decoration above opening of the text.

Incipit: Hast kilid-i dar-i ganj hakim. Bismillahi 'l-rahmani 'l-rahim (sic, the hemistichs transposed from the usual order)

Brown leather Indian binding with flap, and stamped and painted decoration. A Persian hemistich is stamped three times in cartouches along the front of the flap.

Origin: 12 Dhi Qa'dah A.H. 1088 (6 January 1678) (Not 1077).
