The initial entry is written on the Library's copy of Codrington. The text of each page continues diagonally in the margins. F1a. Notice of purchase by the son of the late Mirza Muhammad Shafi' at Machli Bandar in Dhu 'l-Hijja 1227 (December 1812-January 1813), next to the effaced impression of a seal. F202b. Similar notice of same date, adding that the seller was Ahmad Sahib. First additional folio after text: Note of purchase for 140 rupees dated 1214 (1799-1800). Back flyleaf, verso: Not of possession of the MS by Aqa Muhammad Mahdi son of Hajji Sahib 'Ali Asghar Isfahani the merchant, written by 'Abdallah Tabataba'i, son of Baqir 25 Muharram 1233 (5 December 1817). Pasted inside front cover: list of contents in a European hand also noting presentation by Goldsmid. A number of verses are written on the extra leaves at front and back. There are a The Bustan is omitted. Headings and punctuation in red.
