The last few pages include some notes and comments by an unidentified editor, writing in India. Lacking the final folio. F1a: a) Signature of D.O. Dyce. b) Written twice and deliberately scrawled over in both cases: D.O. Dyce From Her Highness the Begum Sombre Xmas 1823. c) Pencilled signature of David Ochterlony Dyce in Latin and Arabic script. d) Two impressions of an rounded oblong Arabic-script seal of David Ochterlony Dyce, dated 1828, one of them scrawled over. e) Two impressions of a rectangular Arabic script seal of David Ochterlony Dyce, also dated 1828. Final surviving folio, verso: impression of the seal described under e) above. Richly illuminated initial opening. Gold margins and dividing panels, the latter filled with stencilled floral decoration, coloured in on the first few pages.
