F1a. a) Impression of small square seal of 'Abbas 'Ali al-Husaini, dated 1169 (1755-6). b) Note of purchase for 100 sikkah rupees. F186b. Note of possession by Dhu 'l-Fiqar Beg, wishing for anyone claiming the book to be sent blind. Written twice. Following folio, recto: impression of the same seal as on f1a. Ruled margins and dividing panels. Some final verses in red. Illuminated initial opening. Five miniature paintings, probably Kashmir work. I (f31a), a lover's drinkimg party; 2 (f75a), dervishes dancing; 3 (f98a), alfresco drinking party; 4 (f133a), polo match; 5 (f147a), drinking and reading by a stream.

Binding
Clumsily bound in after f77a, a piece of paper, evidently from the previous binding, with the armorial bookplate of Gordon of Buthlaw. Stuck to this is strip of blue paper with on it: Add.Mss No. 23 (Written by Le Strange?) English cloth and marbled paper binding.
