The initial entry is written on the Library copy of Codrington. F1a: Defaced note of ownership dated Baghdad A.H. 1278 (1861-2). Containing ghazals and other shorter poems of the so-called first divan. Ruled margins and dividing panels. Headings etc in gold and blue. F1a illuminated with central roundel recording ownership of Khwajah Haidar b. Khwajah Pir. Panels of illumination above openings of preface and the actual poems. Scribe is given as aQanbar 'Ali b, Dhi Nun? Hakim in the colophon, which however is suspect.

History

Origin: A.H. 876 or 87X in the colophon, which is impossible. The hand of the colophon is not quite the same as that used in the text.
