On back cover: Book of Hindustani poetry - found in Goozerat 0n the 22nd of February 1849 - the day after the great action at that place E?D.E? Money. Inside front cover of the outer casing, pasted slip: Presented by E. Baverstock Esq to the Library of the Royal Asiatic Society through W?S? Arbuthnot. The first poem ends with a kind of dedication to a Muhammad Shah. Ruled margins. Headings and some punctuation in red.

Inner simple leather and board binding, stuck into an English red cloth casing, now separated. The casing has the title etc tooled in English on the back (or front) and spine.
