According to the colophon, the selection was made by the poet himself. Final folio, verso: note giving the number of folios at completion as 84, probably by the original scribe. Front flyleaf, verso: a number of ruba'is. Inside back cover: pasted slip, the name printed: Presented by George Thomas Staunton Feby 7. 1824. Ruled margins and dividing panels in red. Headings etc in red. According to the colophon, the selection was made by the poet himself. Scribe is described as resident of the chaklah ... , parganah ... Badayun, Subah Shahjahanabad.
