Persian Manuscripts

Contents

Summary of Contents: 1 copy of Ḥamlah-ʼi Ḥaydarī by Bāz̲il, Muhammad Rafīʻ ibn Muḥammad al-Mashhadī, d. 1712

F1a: signature of David Price. A later addition to the catalogue falsely states that this was Bagnold's copy and that Price's was a second one, called 179a by Codrington. Text incomplete at end, but not owing to the loss of folios; the MS is evidently copied from a defective one. Folio preceding text, verso: note quoting Sir William Ouseley's comments on his copy. Text includes a continuation on the life of 'Ali, not yet indentified. Headings in red.

Incipit: BI-nam-i khudawand-i bisyar-bakhsh
Language(s): Persian.
