Folio one, recto: a) Presented by Sir John Malcolm May 19 1827. b) In Persian, not by the scribe of the MS: Tarikh-i Nizam 'Ali Khan u Nasir Jang wa ghairuhu, 'History of Nizam 'Ali Khan and Nasir Jang etc.' c) English translation of this lacking 'etc.', in pencil. Headings and punctuation in red.

Incipit: Ashi''ah-i sitayish-i bi alayish mar ahadi-ra sazad A History of the Nizams of Haidarabad from the origin of the family to A.H. 1206. No title is given in the introduction of this MS nor is the author named there. The MS breaks off in the middle of a sentence in a description of a famine which took place in 1206. However, the incipit agrees with those in Rieu and Ethe.
