Blue European paper, with watermark including G M. Folio one recto: Extended Persian title in red ink. Old flyleaf after end on text: H.S. Reid (struck through). Duncan Forbes -6th-Dect+1834- In the dedication to his translation Miles tells us that it was based on a MS in the possession of Queen Victoria. In the preface (p. xxiii) he states that he had also made use of MSS lent by Professor [Duncan] Forbes and [Nathaniel] Bland. (Reade's statement that the MS came to the Library from Colonel Miles is no more than a guess.) A history of the reigns of Haidar and Tipu Sultans. Headings and sparse punctuation in red.
