Summary of Contents: (1) البارقة الحيدرية في نقض ما أبرمته الكشفية اشعار تركية للقائمي (٢) 1. The author of the first work contained in this volume (ff. 2-61) is Haydar
ibn Ibráhím ibn Muhammad al-Husayní al-Hasani, an orthodox Shi'ite theologian,
who wrote it in order to refute the doctrines of the Shaykhis and other heretical
Shi'ite sects, such as the Ghulát and the Mufawwida. Most of it appears to be
directed against Shaykh Ahmad Ahsá'i, the founder of the Shaykhi sect, his
successor Sayyid Kázim of Rasht, and their followers. The work is written in
Arabic, but Persian verses are sometimes quoted.
Begins: الحمد لله الذي خلق السموات والارض وجعل الظلمات والنور Ff. 61 of 21,3 x 14,8 c. and 20 ll. Copied in Dhul-Hijja, 1256/February, 1841.
Clear but common naskh.
2. Some Turkish poems by Qá'imi, beginning (f. 65): بحمد الله بو دمکرده بزه توفیق ایدوب باریThe date 1079/1668-9 is given in the line (f. 80): شمدى بيك يتمش طقوز تاریخیدر گلدی دینور Another poem (f. 82) gives the date 1083/1672-3:تاریخن بو پیلوانك ويديلو بيك سكس اوچ Ff. 22 of 21 x 15,4 c. and 18 ll. Large clear naskh. Dated 1138/1725-6. Given
to Professor Browne by Dr Rizá Tevfiq.
