Summary of Contents: Miscellaneous collection of Persian and Urdu poetic works mainly on Qadiri Sufism; several lacunae. Volume not dated; datable to the late eighteenth century. Rough shikastah āmīz tending toward taʿlīq, probably by multiple hands. Annotations and corrections in margins. Not foliated. Lacking original binding. Paper dust wrapper (BEIC legal publication, Regulation XX of 1817); partial watermark (J Whatman 1816); torn, folded, creased, stains; labels. Folios unbound, occasional lacunae; cropped, wormholes, later repairs, smudging, water stains. Ownership marks erased at the end. Condition poor.Language(s): Persian and Arabic

Fragment from a larger treatise selecting excerpts from the Mas̲navī-'i maʿnavī by "Rūmī" Mawlānā Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad Bahāʾ al-Dīn Valad Balkhī (d. 670/1271), organised into sixty-three chapters or bāb based on specific Sufi themes, compiled by Abū Bakr al-Shāshī.
The compiler wrote his treatise under the inspiration of Rūmī’s visitation in a dream, according to a brief opening statement introducing the contents.
There are several lacunae in this copy, with only chapters 1-3, (4 missing), 5, 17 represented here.

Fragment from a larger untitled selection of lyrics or ghazalīyāt, ending in the letter alif (a), by Khvājah Shams al-Dīn Muḥammad Shīrāzī, takhalluṣ Ḥāfiẓ, also known by the later honorific Lisān al-ghayb (d. 792/1389).

Miscellaneous annotations comprised of poetic compositions in mixed genres and forms (ghazal, qiṭʿah, fard, rubāʿī) by numerous authors, with several notable Persian and Urdu qaṣāʾid termed munājāt in praise of the great saint of the Qādirīyah Sufi school, Sayyid Abū Muḥammad Muḥyī al-Dīn ʿAbd al-Qādir al-Jīlānī (d. 561/1166), known as the Ghaws̲-i Aʿẓam, possibly by the Suhravardī Sufi saint, Shaykh Abū Muḥammad Bahāʾ al-Dīn Zakariyā Multānī (d. 661/1262), and Amān Allāh (?), as well as the separate compositions of Princess Zīb al-Nisāʾ Baygum bint [Emperor] ʿĀlamgīr I takhalluṣ Makhfī (d. 1113/1702), and Abū al-Fatḥ Ghiyās̲ al-Dīn ʿUmar ibn Ibrāhīm Nayshāpūrī takhalluṣ Khayyām (d. 516/1122), better known as ʿUmar Khayyām.
The selection concludes with several recipes for food and medicines.
