Chapter or bāb nine from the Ṣavāʿiq-i muḥriqah, a larger collection of traditions and anecdotes by or relating to the Khalīfah and Imām ʿAlī, written by the Shāfiʿī theologian, Shihāb al-Dīn Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad Ibn Ḥajar al-Hays̲amī(d. 974/1566), whose name does not appear in this copy that is probably part of a larger set of volumes now dispersed.
Dated colophon (f. 135v): completed at the dār al-mulk Bāns Barīlī( Bans Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh), Jumādá al-Avval 1244/November-December 1828.
