A poetical account of the life of Zoroaster by Kay Kāʼus ibn Kay Khusraw ibn Dārā, composed in Rayy (Iran) in the 13th century and subsequently copied by Zartusht ibn Bahrām ibn Pazhdū (who is often thought to be the author) in 1278 in Bizhanabad, Iran.

Provenance and Acquisition

RSPA 119-265 were presented to the Royal Society in 1864 and 1865 by Burjorjee Sorabjee Ashburner; bookplate: "Presented to the Royal Society / by Mr. Burjorjee Sorabjee Ashburner / May 1864"

The Royal Society's collection of 280 Persian and Arabic, and 86 Sanskrit manuscripts were transferred to the India Office Library in 1876.
