A collection of Niyāyish, Yasht, Gāh, Patet and Āfrīnagān, beginning with the Khurshēd niyāyish (ff. 1r-5r), followed by the Mihr niyāyish (ff. 5r-7v), the Māh niyāyish (ff. 7v-10v), the Ūrmazd yasht (ff. 10v-18r), the Ardībihisht yasht (ff. 18r-23r), and other works including the Bahman yasht (f. 55v-68v).

Colophon (f. 55v) states that the copy was made by Iskandar son of Mullā Gushtāsp Bahrām Farāmarz Isfandyār Rustam Ardashīr on the day Mihr of the month Ardībihist 1196 qadīm or 26 Rabiʻ I 1243 (17 October 1827) for Siyāvakhsh Ūrmazdyār Siyāvakhsh Rustam.

F. 55r is blank and a blank slip of paper has been added between ff. 76 and 77.

Provenance and Acquisition

RSPA 119-265 were presented to the Royal Society between 1864 and 1865 by Burjorjee Sorabjee Ashburner; bookplate:"Presented to the Royal Society / by Mr. Burjorjee Sorabjee Ashburner / May 1864".

The Royal Society's collection of 280 Persian and Arabic, and 86 Sanskrit manuscripts were transferred to the India Office Library in 1876.
