The first 10 folios are principally made up of the author's introduction. The first year of Bahādur Shāh's reign begins on f10v.
There is a seal on f1r which includes "Muḥammad Khān Muẓẓafar" in it but the rest of the key pieces of information are effaced.

Condition
Excellent condition. Very small stain on f1r. Supports and guards.

Neat black ink nastaʿlīq with rubrications.
Decoration
Very occasional marginal comments in Persian.
Binding
Standard India Office half leather binding with wine-coloured marbled endpapers.

Provenance and Acquisition
RSPA 1-118 were presented to the Royal Society in January 1792 by Sir William and Lady Jones. According to Wilkins, this manuscript was presented by Lady Jones.
The Royal Society's collection of 280 Persian and Arabic, and 86 Sanskrit manuscripts were transferred to the India Office Library in 1876.
