1 copy of Risālah-'i z̤arbat-i Ḥaydarīyah by al-Fāz̤il al-Rashīd
Severely damaged fragment of a copy of the third volume of a Shīʿī polemical treatise on the virtues of Imām ʿAlī assembled from a variety of primarily Sunnī authorities, entitled Risālah-'i z̤arbat-i Ḥaydarīyah, by an author identified by the epithet al-Fāz̤il al-Rashīd, which is probably not the author’s proper name.
Extensive quotations in Arabic cited throughout.
Dated colophon (f. 265v): completed 7 Shavvāl 1253/4 January 1838.
Extensive annotations in margins in parts.
Multiple cursive nastaʿlīq-based hands; occasional use of naskh, especially for the colophon.
Condition extremely fragile at opening and end. Not suitable for handling.
Severely weathered, depredated, stained, and cropped, with only fragments of the opening leaves extant.
