1 copy of Iqbāl'nāmah-'i Jahāngīrī by Muʿtamad Khān
Authorised chronicle entitled Iqbāl'nāmah-'i Jahāngīrī condensing the Akbar'nāmah of Shaykh Abū al-Faz̤l continuing its authorised annalist account down to the latter years of its patron, the Timurid (Mughal) Emperor Jahāngīr (d. 1037/1627), written by his confidante, Muḥammad Sharīf Muʿtamad Khān. The author eventually completed his chronicle in a personal capacity in the year following Jahāngīr’s death.
The present volume comprises the second daftar, covering the reign of Emperor Jahāngīr.
The colophon incorrectly titles the work Jahāngīrnāmah.
Dated colophon (f. 293r): completed 25 Shavvāl 1246/8 April 1831.
