Summary of Contents: Collection of works on Naqshbandī, Chishtī, Qādirī, Kubravī, and Suhravardī Sufism, hagiography, spiritual genealogy, and commemorative poetry. Volume not dated; item c dated (23 Rabīʿ al-Avval 1189/24 May 1775), with later portions dated as late as 7 Rabīʿ al-Avval 1207/23 October 1792. Scribal nastaʿlīq and Indian taʿlīq by the same hand. According to a note at the beginning (lower right, f. 1v) the volume was transcribed by the author. Annotations in margins. Stamped and Persian foliation. Lacking original binding. Binding, red half leather IOL covers, stamp dated 27 Sept 1916. Folios rebound, but disarranged and reoriented; cropped, wormholes, water stains, later repairs; gauze overlay on folios from the beginning and end. Condition fragile. IOL microfilm 1112.

Substantial fragment from a detailed treatise on Naqshbandī Sufi scholars and saints, by Shaykh Sharaf al-Dīn Muḥammad Zih'gīr ibn Khvājah Muḥammad Ibrāhīm al-Kashmīrī (d. 1205/1790-1), follower of Ḥāfiẓ ʿAbd al-Ghafūr Pishāvarī, and inspired by the Shaykh al-Islām Mullā ʿAbd al-Salām.

The transcription alternates between neat scribal nastaʿlīq and a fluent Indian taʿlīq hand.

Miscellaneous collection of verses consisting of chronogrammatic qiṭaʿāt and ghazalīyāt commemorating the ‘ʿurs’ or date of death of Bābā Ṣāḥib Zih'gīr or rather Shaykh Sharaf al-Dīn Muḥammad Zih'gīr ibn Khvājah Muḥammad Ibrāhīm al-Kashmīrī, yielding the date 1205/1790-1.

This is followed by compositions relating to the commemorations of Khvājah Muḥammad Qāsim Ṣāḥib, Jalāl Bābā Kāmrājī, and Bābā Niʿmat Allāh Ṣāḥib Kāmrājī.
