Substantial fragment from an early copy of the official regnal chronicle commissioned by the Timurid Emperor ʿĀlamgīr I, written by Munshīʾ Muḥammad Kāẓim (d. 1092/1681), son of the historian for Emperor Shāh Jahān I, Munshīʾ ‘Amīnā’ Muḥammad Amīn ibn Abū al-Ḥusayn al-Qazvīnī.

The annalist chronicle covers the war of succession leading to the overthrow of Emperor Shāh Jahān I, and Prince Muḥammad Awrangzīb Bahādur’s accession to the throne as emperor, followed by the first ten regnal years.
