This ostensibly complete copy has been most aggressively attacked by insects along the lower half, rendering the text unusable, except for the remaining upper portions.

Untitled qaṣīdah or eulogy in honour of the Governor-General, composed by Munshīʾ Mangal Singh of the Sūrdhaj Brahmin caste (qawm) presented in Kalkattah (Calcutta/Kolkata) at a mushāʿirah (gathering for poetic recitations) held at the house of Munshīʾ Amīn al-Dīn Aḥmad, through the introduction of Munshīʾ Muḥammad Aḥsan.
The work begins with a brief statement précising a lengthier statement at the end describing the circumstances of composition and presentation to the subject.
