Summary of Contents: Miscellaneous collection of historical works with an emphasis in refined prose. Volume not dated; datable to the early nineteenth century. Relatively modern scribal nastaʿlīq. Partial foliation in pencil. Lacking original binding. Paper dust wrapper (BEIC legal publication on legislation; dated 1851); watermarked (C Wilmot, 1849); labelled, torn, creased, and stained. Folios unbound; light fungal stains, cropped, aggressive wormhole damage along the lower half, carving depressions into the text block as deep as folio 93 from the front side. Condition extremely fragile.

This ostensibly complete copy has been most aggressively attacked by insects along the lower half, rendering the text unusable, except for the remaining upper portions.

Untitled qaṣīdah or eulogy in honour of the Governor-General, composed by Munshīʾ Mangal Singh of the Sūrdhaj Brahmin caste (qawm) presented in Kalkattah (Calcutta/Kolkata) at a mushāʿirah (gathering for poetic recitations) held at the house of Munshīʾ Amīn al-Dīn Aḥmad, through the introduction of Munshīʾ Muḥammad Aḥsan.

The work begins with a brief statement précising a lengthier statement at the end describing the circumstances of composition and presentation to the subject.
