Persian translation by the Muftī al-Mulk Tāj al-Dīn ibn Muʿīn al-Dīn Malikī of the Sanskrit book of four fables entitled Hitopadesa by Nārāyan.
Dated colophon (f. 106v): completed by Ghulām ʿAlī ibn Fayz̤ Bakhsh, resident of Thanesar, Wednesday, 25 Jumādá al-Avval 1255/6 August 1839.
Various cursive hands. Rough nastaʿlīq.
Stamped foliation.
Stamped border frame in a silvery metallic paint (ff. 41-48).
