Summary of Contents: Two illustrated treatises on hunting compiled, apparently at the command of Maharaja Dalip Singh, by one Dīn Muḥammad in around 1850. The first is on birds of prey and their care and use. Script: Clear Nastaʿlīq in black ink with rubrication.
Decoration
Fols. 1b-2a with decorated headpiece in gold, red, blue, green, and pink, and floral margins. Every folio has an inner text-box border in blue, red, black, and gold. Outer border in gold. Text written within gold cloud bands throughout. Many paintings.
Binding
Half-bound in dark-brown leather and brown cloth. Gold borders on leather. Spine has 5 bands as well as gold decoration. Title "Indian System of Hawking" given on spine.
