Decoration

The text block is is decorated with golden rosettes throughout and is framed by rules in blue, gold and green. Illuminated margins with gold and polychrome motifs. Fully illuminated opening and closing double-folios in light-blue, gold and pink.

History

Origin: early 19th century CE

Provenance and Acquisition

Purchased in May 1892 at the E.H. Lawrence sale, lot. 358. Bequeathed by Mr Frank McClean in 1904.
