Written in Naskhī; red headings, gold borderlines. Names of persons on whom there are biographies are in red in the margins. Fol. 1v illuminated headpiece with the basmala flanked by a floral motif with red flowers. Above is a rectanngle with a plain gold cartouche flanked by 'corners' of gold foliage over blue. Above that is a canopy of white flowers with gold on blue in trefoil shape. The rest of the canopy is of orange, purple and yellow flowers against gold, with prickings to indicate the outline to the artist. Verticals above are in blue with flower head patterns. There is a border of blue and orange dots.

Binding
Flap-binding of red leather stamped front and back with a cartouche in gold with foliage picked out in black. Flap has a similar, circular scalloped motif with a rope border in gold.
