Physical Description

Form: codex
Extent: 105 leaves (ff. 1a-105b)
Dimensions (leaf):

One column with 21 lines per page. The first hand rubricated the beginning of each lemma and the beginning of each commentary.

The text is written in naskh. Ff. 67b-68a are written by another hand; the paper, ink, pen nib, all change dramatically. Ff. 68b-69a appear to be taken from a different MS, being written on different paper, in a completely different hand (neat, tiny, naskh heavily influenced by nasta’liq). From f. 69b, the first hand returns to copy the text. Then the second hand completed ff. 82-105.

Marginalia: The copy has been collated with the exemplar. The copyist has entered many corrections in the margins (frequently marked with صح).

Origin: The copy was completed by two unnamed hands. The first hand completed the copy of ff. 1-81; the second hand completed ff. 82-105, and recorded the date of copying as Thursday, 9th of Shawwal, 725 AH / September 1325 CE.
