Flyleaf, verso: no: 15 I.? L Folio 1, recto: a) Note of purchase for? the library of Muhammad Hafeez b, Shaikh Hamid 'Uthmani for 130 rupees on 1 Sha'ban, year one of Rafi' al-Darajat. Written at the request of the Timurid minister Mir 'Ali Shir Nawa'i.With curse on anyone claiming ownership. Accompanied by small oval seal, presumably of the said Hafeez: Ya Hafiz Ya Hafeez 1126, regnal year probably 3. b) Partly effaced note of purchase dated 21 Ramazan (mis-spelt), regnal year one. c) Effaced note with seal. A History of the life and actions of Muhammad, his companions and their disciples. This manuscript contains only the first of the three maqsads or divisions of the book. End of scribe's name in damaged colophon: ... Muhammad walad Isma'il Musawi. Illuminated initial opening. Ruled margins. Rubricated headings and punctuation. Occasional marginal notes.
