Colophon states the MS was copied for John Romer, who is given titles suggesting he was a judge of some kind. A History of the immediate successors of Muhammad, and the early conquests of the Muslims. For Romer's gift see the Donations Register for November 18 1848 and the Journal for 1837, p. xiv.
