Summary of Contents: 1 copy of Tarikh i Banakati. Full title: Raudat uli'l-albab fi tawarikh al-akabir wa-'l-ansab by Banākatī, Dāvūd ibn Muḥammad, d. 1329 or 30

Second flyleaf, recto: Presented to the Oriental Translation Commit[tee] by Sir A Malet Bart. Folio 1a. Title and a verse indicating ownership in Persian beside a rectangular seal, illegible here but repeated by the same verse on the final folio, verso, of Fadl 'Ali al-Husaini, dated 118 (for 1108?). Final folio, verso. Two futher impressions, largely effaced of a round seal dated 984. Upside down inside front (originally back) cover: armorial bookplate of Sir Cha. Warre Malet. A general History up to A.H. 717.(A.D. 1317). Uniform with Codrington/Reade No 27, which contains the rest of the work. Headings in red.

Binding

Oriental brown leather binding with blind tooling and painted decoration. The binding has at some stage been put on backwards. The last folio is upside down and would initially have stood at the beginning of Vol. II. (q.v.)
