Warre Malet Clearly not presented by Sir John Malcolm as stated in Morley's catalogues. History of Muhammad and the first four Caliphs. Part of the same work as Codrington/Reade No 29. In Morley's handwritten catalogue the donor is mistakenly given as Sir John Malcolm. Iluminated panel on folio 1 verso. Ruled margins. Headings in red.

Binding

Red leather Oriental binding as on Codrington/Reade No 35, also with pages ruled for manuscripts bound in at beginning and end. Script, binding, date etc. very similar to Codrington/Reade No 35. Evidently from the same set.

History

Origin: 9 Rajab A.H. 1005.(A.D. 1596).
