[As Rieu (i, p. ) and Ethe. The surviving portion of the original first folio, with the beginning of the text, is bound upside down after the last folio of text. In the margin is a note: The illuminated frontispiece of this volume was given to Mr. Jas. Forbes to insert as a specimen in his great work - by C.W.M. May 18 - 1813. Defective at beginning. The first two folios, now standing first and written in naskh, are not part of this volume and are concerned with later Timurid history. Extra leaves are inserted at beginning and end from other partly written manuscripts. Inside back cover: armorial bookplate of Sir Cha. Warre Malet History of the twelve Imams and the Urnavi and 'Abbasi Khalifs to A.H. 656. Ruled margins. Headings and punctuation in red.
