Front flyleaf, recto: Presented to the Oriental Translation Commi[ttee] by Sir A. Malet Bart. Folio one, recto: a) Large circular seal Amanat-dar Khan fidawi-yi Badshah-i Ghazi Muhammad Farrukhsiyar, dated 1124, regnal year 1. b) Note in Arabic recording transfer to Ahmad b. 'Ali. Incomplete. c) Effaced impression of large circular seal. Part of impression of small rectangular seal, trimmed down in repair. Inside back cover: armorial bookplate of Sir Cha Warre Malet. From the Creation to the History of the first four Caliphs. Illuminated initial opening, with decorative panel at top of f1a. ruled margins. Rubricated headings and punctuation.
