Folio 1, recto: note of transfer to Muhammad 'Ali Simaki al-Astarabadi, beside impression of small pyriform seal, over which a piece of paper has been pasted. Inside back cover: armorial bookplate of Sir Cha. Warre Malet [ Codrington/Reade notes 'Seal of Farutch Siyar att. 1125, outside first page.' This derives from a handwritten addition to the Library copy of Codrington, which in fact belongs to Codrington No 46 (q.v.). The seal is not of Farrukhsiyar but of someone in his service.] N.B.
