Folio one, recto: Impression of seal of Shaikh Bahadur, dated 1194. Stamp, with place left for name: Presented to the ROYAL ASIATIC SOCIETY BY J. Romer Esq. I April 1837. Last folio, verso: A poem about the copying of the book, apparently ending with a chronogram (not checked) with the date 1148 written beneath it. This is not in the hand of the scribe of the text of the last folio, but may be that of another scribe employed on the MS. Author is Shaikh Muhammad Baqa b. Ghulam Muhammad Saharanpuri, but attributed by 'courteous fiction' to Muhammad Bakhtawar Khan. (See Rieu) A general History from the Creation to A.H. 1079.
