1 copy of Makhzan i Afghani by Niʻmat Allāh, fl. 1613-1630

On rather coarse brownish paper. Inside front cover and flyleaf, verso: two notes in siyaq, not apparently connected with the book. Fourth flyleaf, verso: Mr? Marriott. The colophon states that the scribe is the owner of the book and gives his genealogy for eleven more generations. This manuscript was the basis of the translation published by B. Dorn (London 1829-36). So Storey. A history of the Afghans from the time of Adam to the reign of Jahangir. The shorter recension of the work. Some rubricated headings and punctuation.
