Inside front cover, printed slip: Lieut. Col. Briggs. First folio, recto: a) Sketches of the Ahmudnuggur history by the late Kazy Abdool Nubbee from the original in his possession - transcribed fron the original M S. in the Kauzys own hand A D. 1823. b) Title in Persian, spelt with wrong aitch, as also on last page. From the beginning it appears that this is a section of an encyclopaedia by Qadi 'Abd al-Nabi covering the Nizam Shahs of Ahmadnagar. The encyclopaedia was known as Dastur al-'Ulama and Jami' al-'Ulum. 'Abd al-Nabi was active in the earlier part of the eighteenth century. See Storey.
