1 copy of Maslak al-muttaqīn by Allāh Yār Khan Bukhārī
A lengthy didactic poem on aspects of theology and law by Ṣūfī Allāhyār (or Ilāhyār) Khan Bukhārī (fl. 1050/1640).
Contents: introduction, on Islamic doctrine, and four books concerning purification, ritual prayer, zakāt and fasting according to Ḥanafī fiqh.
Book 1 was completed in 1111/1699, Book 2 the following year.
Colophon, f. 396v. Copied at the Ādīnah (Friday) Madrasa at Faizabad, in Badakhshan, Afghanistan, by Ḥabīb Allāh ibn Mullā ‘Āshūr Muḥammad. Completed at breakfast time on Friday 19 Ṣafar 1284/22 June 1867.
Other contents: front endpaper and f. 1r, owners’ scribbles; 1r, ownership inscription dated 1339/1920-21; 396v, note of a payment and a bayt of verse.
