1 copy of Zād al-musāfirīn by Muḥammad Mahdī ibn ‘Alī Naqī
A guide to preservation of health and self-treatment for travellers, by Muḥammad Mahdī ibn ‘Alī Naqī. The work was completed at Isfahan in 1141/1728, during the Afghan invasion, for Mīrzā Muḥammad Ismā‘īl.
It comprises two parts (maṭlab): on preventive health and hygiene, and on the treatment of certain ailments treatable without the aid of a physician.
The present manuscript is slightly incomplete at the end.

Decoration
Black overlining; catchwords on versos; brief heading indicating the subject of the current section, top left of rectos.
Binding
European-style black morocco binding, rounded at the corners, with gilt lettering on spine and border lines, naming the author as ‘Latif Ali Naki’ and estimating the date of copying as ca. 1800.
