Summary of Contents: کتاب ملا رجبعلی قهیر Mulla Rajab Ali, called Qahir (the numerical equivalent of both names being
315) was a prominent follower of the Báb, and afterwards of Mírzá Yahyà Subh-i-
Azal. He is said to have been murdered by some of Bahá'u'lláh's followers at
Baghdad or Karbalá. See my Traveller's Narrative to illustrate the Episode of
the Báb, vol. II, pp. 356, 359, 363 and 371.
This book, written partly in Arabic but chiefly in Persian, comprises four
chapters, beginning on ff. 7, 17, 31, and 66' respectively. It contains allusions to
Mírzá Yahyà Subh-i-Azal (e.g. f. 21'), the Dalá' il-i-sab'a or "Seven Proofs "
(f. 22: see F. 23 supra), Mírzá Asadu'lláh called Janáb-i-Dayyán (f. 44"), etc. The
Arabic exordium begins:
بسمه الدائم القديم الباقى الذى كلّ له خاضعون تعالى من تجلّى عن افق الصفات بنور الذات على اقاليم اراضى المبدعات من الممكنات الخ Chapter 1 (f. 7), which is in Persian, begins: بدانید ای سالکان سبیل هدایت و سداد و طالبان طريق درایت و رشاد سقاكم الله ربكم الأعلى
من رحيق نوره فى كأس (7) (٢) ظهوره كه اعتقاد به نشأة اخرى و دار جزاء اول مایزی است بین
مليين و غيرهم الخ
