Contents

Summary of Contents: This manuscript contains commentary on the book of Aphorisms attributed to Hippocrates.
Author and Bibliographic antecedent: ʾIbrāhīm al-Kīshīإبراهيم الكيشي

Original manuscript in Leiden University Library.

Since it is a gloss, it is not clear whether it contains all of al-Kīshī ’s text. The aphorisms are not cited verbatim, and commentaries on several aphorisms are omitted.

The copy is wrongly labeled as a commentary by al-Kīlānī on the title page. This is a collection of ‘Abd al-Raḥmān al-Ṭabīb ’s glosses (ḥawāshi) on ‘Izz al-Dīn Ibrāhīm al-Kīshī ’s commentary on the Aphorisms. The introduction begins on f. 1b; the beginning of each Book is as follows: Bk1: 1b; Bk2: 9b; Bk3: 22a; Bk4: 32a; Bk5: 41a; Bk6: 48a; Bk7: 54b.
