Summary of Contents: مناقب اولیای شریفی Anecdotes of Turkish Shaykhs and Súfi saints, especially the ancestors of the
author, Sharif ibn Sharifi (f. 4. 1. 8), more particularly his grandfather Shaykh
Burhanu'd-Din Muhammad ibn Muhammad az-Zayni al-Husayní, and his great-
great-grandfather Sultán Shaykh. The work was composed in 1005/1596-7, and is
dedicated to Sultán Muḥammad III. It begins: حمد و سپاس و شکر بی قیاس اول خالق خلق و رازق ناس واهب عقل و حواس فایض فکر
و قياس حضرتنه اولسونكه الخ...اما بعد اشبو فقیر حقیر خاکهای اولیای اتقیاء غلام كمترين آل
عبا و زمره علمانك كمتری و فرقه مدرسینك احقری شریف ابن شریفی ایدر كه الخ On f. 79 the author traces his genealogy up to the Imám Músà al-Kázim and
through him to 'Ali ibn Abi Talib and Fátima, the Prophet's daughter. There is
no date or colophon. Ff. 70 of 19'9 x 11'8 c. and 15 ll.; good wasèh within gilt margins.
