Persian Manuscripts

Contents

Summary of Contents: This manuscript contains a complete copy of the Dīvān of most shorter poems by Timurid-era author Jāmī (1414–1492), followed by a second anthology of selections from other poets. A scribe named Maqsūd completed the work, possibly in the Safavid Empire during ten days in the middle of Jumādà II 917 AH (mid-Sept. 1511 CE), within a decade after Jāmī's death. The volume also features two delicate headers that commence both works.
