1 copy of Ẓafar′nāmah by Sharaf al-Dīn ʻAlī Yazdī, d. 1454
Front flyleaf, recto: title and deprecatory ownership note of Pir 'Uthman son of Muhammad Sa'id Katkhuda of Wali Effendi-zadah. Second front flyleaf: a) Note of acquisition by 'Abd al-Wahhab b. 'Abd al-Rahman. b) Note of price: 1,000 aqchahs. c) Note of acquisition by 'Abd al-Rahim Qadi of Bursa. d) Note of acquisition by Muhammad called Wahy-zadah, dated A.H. 1011. The remainder of the page is covered with notes in various hands, glosses, verses, bits of prose concerning Timur etc, many of them attributed, e.g. to Suyuti, Mu'izzi, Nizami et al. Mostly Arabic and Persian, a few phrases in Turkish. Verso: covered with verses, mostly attributed, including Turkish ones of Hamdi. Folio one, recto: a) at top, note of ownership, written in difficult ruq'ah. b) at bottom, note of acquisition by 'Ali b. Uwais. The remainder of the page is covered with inscriptions in various hands mostly verse quotations in Persian and Arabic, often attributed. After the end of the text are five pages, mostly bearing inscriptions in various hands, including glosses, verses quotations concerning Timur and his descendants. Attributions are given for many of these, e.g., [Ibn] 'Arabshah, Jami et al. On last page, recto, [owner's?] date of birth, early winter, 1 Jumadi I? 888, Rumi month AHTRUS (?). Inside back cover, armorial bookplate of Gordon of Buthlaw. A history of Timur. Iluminated panel above beginning of text. Ruled margins. Headings and punctuation in red. Ruled bands dividing verses in first few pages.

Good quality contemporary brown leather Ottoman binding with stamped central cartouches, gilding against red design. Tooled margins. Red leather doublures with ruled gold margins. Flap missing.
