Contents

Summary of Contents: This is a famous, comment-text commentary on al-Taṣrīf al-ʿīzzá of al-Zanjānī (655 AH) on Arabic Morphology (declension). Many commentaries have been written on this book, which are listed in Kashf al-Ẓunūn (2/1139). Taftāzānī completed this commentary in 738 AH, at the age of 19, in his hometown, Faryūmad.

Summary of Contents: This is a famous commentary on Alfīyah of Ibn Malik on Arabic syntax. Abū ʿAbd Allāh Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Ṭāʾī al-Jīlānī known as Ibn Mālik composed a work including 1,000 couplets called 'Arjūzah' on Arabic syntax. This 1000-couplet composition in syntax is known as Alfīyah of Ibn Mālik. Numerous commentaries and annotations have been written on this work, that are listed in Kashf al-Ẓunūn. This work has always been a textbook used in Iranian religious schools and published several times in Iran and outside Iran.

Explicit: … عند صدور اولو الالباب و قال ابن عبّاس رضی الله عنه ما اوتی عالم علما الا و هو شاب فالحمدلله هدانا لهذا و ما کنا لنهتدی لو لا ان هدینا الله لقد جاءت رسل ربنا… و بارک علی محمد و آله و اصحابه و ازواجه و ذرّیاته کما بارکت علی ابراهیم و علی آل ابراهیم فی العالمین انک حمید مجید و اختم و لنا بخیر و اصلح لنا… و سایر المسلمین برحمتک یا ارحم الراحمین و یا اکرم الاکرمین.
