Provenance and Acquisition

The manuscript was a pious endowment made by the Shaykh Abū Bakr ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Khawlānī in 1638. According to the donation statament in f. 1r, the endowment consisted in a copy of the entire Qurʾān divided in ajzāʾ.
