One of several texts on the martyrdom of Ḥusayn ibn ‘Alī which sometimes bears this title. A note on folio 117a claims the that this mes̠nevī یدی یوز آلتمش اوچندیدی تمام, i.e. that it was originally completed between 26 August and 22 November 1359; whereas folio 205b, line 4 of an alternative version of this text in Bodleian Libraries MS. Huntington 507, item 2 states یدی یوز یتمش اُچنده در تمام, i.e. that it was completed between 9 May and 4 August 1369. The language of the text suggests that it is the same as the Maḳtel-i Ḥüseyn popularly attributed to either Yūsuf-ı Meddāḥ, Şādī Meddāḥ, a certain Ḳasṭamonılı Şāẕī, a certain ‘Āşıḳī, or a certain Lūṭ oġlı Yaḥyā. Supporting this claim is the fact that some manuscripts with the same title (e.g. Ankara Milli Kütüphane manuscript no. 06 hk 2976/1) bear the same first couplet.
