A mes̠nevī in praise of the life, doctrines and martyrdom of the great mystic Şeyḫ Manṣūr-ı Baġdādī, i.e. Manṣūr Ḥallāj, or more correctly Ḥusayn bin Manṣūr Ḥallāj, see the Safīnat al-awliyā in the India Office Library, No. 660, fol. 92b, the apostle of the (I am God), who was executed in Baghdād, AH 309, 25th of Dhu-alka'dah AD 922, March 27, comp. ff. 7a last line, 41a lin. penult., 44a 1. 8, etc. His teacher, Shaykh Junayd (died AH 297, 27th of Receb AD 910, April 11, see Safīnat al-awliyā, fol. 29b), is mentioned on ff. 17a last line, 208 11. 2 and 9, etc. No author's name or date appears anywhere.
