The first, on ff. 1-22 (in the latter part of the manuscript according to Eastern fashion), containing a collection of Turkish words and phrases in Turkish characters, sometimes accompanied with a transliteration in Roman characters and now and then with a paraphrase, either in Italian or archaic English, beginning with gelmek; the second, on ff. 1-15 (in the former part of the manuscript according to European fashion), containing a list of Turkish words and conversational phrases, with their Italian (on some pages with their English) equivalents; the Turkish words being here throughout transliterated in Roman characters. Some other English notes in this manuscript prove that it dates from 1628 and 1629.
