Flyleaf before text, recto: A Dicty of the Pushtoo language as spoken by the Afghans July 2, 1831. Penultimate flyleaf, verso: Similar note, with date and the addition 'Presented by Chas Elliott Esq In the list of donors in Morley's handwritten Charles Elliott Esq comes next to E. Elliott, who is given as the donor of this MS. The note on the MS suggests this may be a mistake. On the other hand the note itself could be wrong and E. Elliott a relation of Charles who presented the MS to the Society. Headings and punctuation in red. Has an introduction (6 folios) discussing Afghan subdivisions and the phonetics and grammar of Pashto.
